The Institute was established in the year 2003 with Trades Electrician, Wireman, Welder having less than 100 seats capacity. The Institute has its own building situated at the height of approx. 5800 in Ramnagar , District Nainital . The Institute is covered under Private Public Partnership scheme of Government of India.

 The Institute has its Institute Management Committee ( IMC). Various other different trades are being proposed to open in the ITI. Hence the intake capacity will almost trippled. The Institute is growing under the excellence guidance of IMC
